Welcome to Chase's website!

​

An internationally toured artist and proud graduate of Randolph College for the Performing Arts, Chase Winnicky is quickly making a name for himself, as one of Canadas newest leading men and directors. He also recently graduated from the Intimacy Professional Accelerator Program with Intimacy Directors & Coordinators, Inc.

​

Select theatre credits include: Neil Sedaka in Beautiful: the Carole King musical (Segal Centre/Royal MTC); Tumnus/Mr. B in Narnia (Bad Hats/MTYP); Jack in Into the Woods (Royal MTC); Robertson Ay in Mary Poppins, Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz (Rainbow Stage); Kiss of the Spiderwoman, The Addams Family (Dry Cold Productions); Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland  (Diversified Theatre); Hero in Much Ado About Nothing (Dauntless City Theatre); Candy Darling in Andy Warhol Musical: In Rehearsal (Pop Up Theatre/Mirvish Workshop); The Nutcracker (National Ballet of Canada); Assistant Directing Million Dollar Quartet (Theatre Calgary); Directing the Canadian premiere of The Prom (Dry Cold). This season Chase will be appearing in Waitress, and directing Murder for Two (both with RMTC).

In film he has played supporting roles in Haunted Wedding, A Carol for Two, A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe, Crashing Through the Snow and 'Tis the Season to be Merry for the Hallmark Channel, and guest star roles on SkyMed (Paramount+/CBC) and the Emmy nominated series The Porter (CBC/BET+). You may also recognize him from last years MPI commercial with Mark Scheifele of the Winnipeg Jets.

As a vocalist he’s sung with the Toronto Jazz Orchestra, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Juno award winning vocalist Stacey Kay and has toured internationally overseas as a Lead Vocalist with Oceania Cruises (Norwegian Creative Studios).

 

Chase is based in his hometown of Winnipeg, represented by 10 Talent Management, and a member of both CAEA and ACTRA. He was mentored by Thom Allison through the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre's 2021/22 National Mentorship Program, and Mark Bellamy through The Canadian Guild of Stage Directors & Choreographers 2022/23 Mentee Program.

Outside of performing and directing he can be found coaching performers, adjudicating at music festivals, eating lots of pasta, drinking good wine and hanging out with his dogs.
